How to write on images Print E-mail

Using the Gifworks and MyImager free online sites.

I use two different sites to do this, depending on what I'm trying to do. I'll first explain how to do this at Gifworks -  http://www.gifworks.com/Go to "file" and then "file open". Now under method #2, click on "browse". A little box will come up and you find your image and click on it and then click "open". Now click "upload image" and wait for your image to appear. Now click on "edit" and then on "insert text". Another box will popup with options for your image. Choose the color by clicking on the little boxes and then your sample will appear. If you don't like it, just click another box. Then move on down to choose your font type, size, etc. Make sure that you backspace off "enter text here" and put in what you want the text to be. Now click the centerpoint of where you want your text to appear. Your image will appear now with the text and your choices. You can always click on "file" and then "revert" to go back and try another text style, size, etc. When you have it the way you want it, click on "file" and then "file save" and wait for the image to appear in another box. Right click on it and save the image to your computer. At this site, your image has to be in a gif format.

The next site that I like to use to add a name is MyImager at: http://www.myimager.com/ I really like this site to add the names because as you will see the option to go back and change something is a lot easier. But you have the greater option of where you want to place the words at Gifworks. So you need to consider that first before you decide which one to use. Click on the blue words - "Click here to begin". Click on "browse" and then find your image and click on it and then click "open". Now click on "upload" and wait for your image to appear. Now go to "effects" and then "text". Write your text and then choose your options and then click "write text". Your image will appear with your text written on it. If you don't like it, just hit your back button and choose again. It's really simple! But, as you can see - you can only place the text in specified areas, instead of being able to click where you want it like at Gifworks. So, I use both - depending on what I'm working on. At this site you can use the gif format or jpeg.

Also, if you are wanting to write text beside the image and you don't have enough room (like with the frog example below), you can start with a white background, add your image and write on the white background. Then you can take it to one of the above places and crop off the extra background and add the transparency.
