Would you like to use your name as your signature, then follow this article to make it sparkle. First, you will need to make yourself a "banner". I do this at http://linuxenvy.com/bprentice/Banners/Banners.html. On this page, just backspace off "banner text" and put the name in there that you want. Now, pick out your font style (they have a wonderful sample sheet to view at the bottom under "font examples"). Move on to "text color" and choose "white". Now move on to "background color" and choose "transparent". Make sure you put a dot by "regular" and then click "submit". Your banner name will appear on another page. Right click and save it to your computer.
Now you are ready to color the name. Go here and pick out a color - http://members.tripod.com/~osodeoro/Sparkl...Sparkelies.html
When you find the color that you want - left click on it to bring it up on a page by itself. Then when it appears, just right click and save it to your computer. Now, you are ready to combine your "white" name with your color. *If you ever find that the Imagemagick site won't work in the tutorial, please check here for additional Imagemagick sites. http://www.mypcclinic.com/forums/sh...9984#post129984 Here is a great site to do a lot of different things. Right now, we'll just work on compositing. Go to http://magick.net4tv.com/MagickStudio/scri...agickStudio.cgi
Click on "choose" or "browse" and then find your first image - the "white" name. Click on it and then click "open" and then click "view". Your image will appear on another page. Now click "composite" from the top tabs.
Again click on "choose" or "browse" and now find your color bar that you saved to fill in the white name. Click on it and then click "open". Now set the following options:
Click on the drop down menu where it says Gravity: Choose and click on North. Arrow down to where it says Compose, click on the drop down menu, click on IN. Arrow down and put a check in the box under "Miscellaneous Options" - where it says "tile across and down the image canvas." Arrow up to where it says Press to Composite, click on it.
When your animated name appears, click on the top "output" tab and wait for the next page. Then click on the "output button" *not* the output tab. When your image again appears, click on the large, top image and this will bring it up on a page by itself. When you see it there, just right click and save it to your computer. If you ever get an error message, click your browser's back button and then right click and save the image from that page.
*If by chance the banner link will not work, you can use other places to write the "white" name. Here is one with a lot of fonts - http://www.3dtextmaker.com/cgi-bin/3dtext.pl.
Click the down arrows for choices of styles. After you have picked your font, scroll down and select the white square in the color chart. On "effect" - choose "stationary" and then scroll on down and type in your text. Click "make 3d text" and wait for it to appear on the next page. Since the text is white, you won't be able to see it. Just right click on the box underneath where it says, "Here is your 3d text" and save it to your computer. Now you're ready to add the glitter!
