Here is a quick way to get some wonderful effects!
Go to http://picasa.google.com/index.html and download the free program. We are going to fade the images and apply them together, all at the same time.
Here are the two images that I am going to use -

http://www.mypcclinic.com/files/Linda/Guardianangel.jpg
After you download Picasa, your images will be viewable from there. Just click on your image and then click "hold" at the bottom to hold the image in the tray. Now click "collage" and choose "multi exposure" for the type and "use backbround pictures" as the option. Choose where you want to save the image and then click "create".
