Ge games have no rules but they do have a few guide lines to guide you on playing there are several types that can be played so far we have found this many and types and they are:
GE Games these are not Rules but Guidlines only!

GE for dial up: For players that use dial up internet and Google earth.Post a close-up picture of a spot found any place in the world using Google Earth and dial-up. To win you are to post, as near a likeness of the picture posted. Winner posts the next one or asks another to post for them and if you do to follow up on it .

DSL GE For players using high speed internet,Same guidelines as with Dialup, except using DSL, and Google Earth. Winner posts the next one or picks another to post for them and if you do please follow up on it.

GE for non GE users: For players that post any kind of picture using Google Earth or Not as long as a picture can be found in the open it doesn't need to match the posted one if its from GE just so long as it is out on the net.
Winner posts the next one or picks someone to post for them and if you do please follow up on it .

New game For players using http://www.gigapan.org/searchGigapansList.php?keywords=
Winner posts the next one or picks someone to post for them and if you do please follow up on it .

Search and Find: for players using just search engines
Winner posts or picks another to post for them and if you do please follow up on it .

What and Where this is a totaly GE game it is Hosted by Bruce he and only he posts a picture the players job to locate that Picture and post it.
Then and only then will Bruce Post another game.
Games will not over lap as only one game is posted at a time and only Bruce will post a picture think of this game as a way to hone your GE skills this is a game for those that using only GE enjoy the trill of the hunt without haveing to take a turn posting anything other than the Game ENDING picture do you need to be purfect no but you must come close and if there is a disagreement Bruce has the final word.
And as i said Bruce posts if and when he can so keep looking ok .

Guidelines are good, 'rules' are to hard to keep. If you have posted and someone 'wins' and passes to someone else then the Orignal Poster can post another if the receiving 'pass' is not acknowledged.
This can be used in all games, and this can keep the game moving along.
Please if you run into a problem let everyone know so we can help you and support you ok ?

And please what ever game your posting give clues with out the clues there can be no game it just turns into a hunt with out End!
Thank you all Player and Readers

Some i see are having trouble with GE not a problem there are other sources that you can use like Google maps or terraserver.com just to name a few use what you are comfortible with just as long as the picture you post comes close ok and if your the poster you will have to judge if a picture comes close enought !

Just a thought, rather than bumping, why don't you ask Amie to make this a 'Sticky' at the top of 'Game room'... :) :hi:

Gray: That was the other board, nothing is To Trivial in this forum, and if things get out of hand Amie and Les will stop it RIGHT NOW. That is the BIGGEST difference of the 2 boards.. :hi:

These Guide lines are open to change as long as a majority of the players agree if you have an idea that may improve these guidelines e-mail or PM me or post your Opinions Here and i'll let everyone know that i can it may take a day or two before i get all responces back at that time i will update the guidelines or let you know why we did not and I'm asking Les, Amie And John to check and make sure nothing we add goes aganist the Rules of this Board they and they only have Final Word if a change poses the possiblity of disruping this board it will be removed by me or by them or they telling me to remove it.
We are always looking for ways to make the Games not just better but more interesting and fun for all that want to play them.
Remember this is not a just game but a chance to learn about the world we live in and learn how other members that live in other countries live, learn, and sometimes better ourselves.

We need to add "What and Where" to the GE search. That was my favorite game. All these others are fine to, but (no offense intended) with my work schedule there is no way I can join in on this. I can usually only join in on the weekend anyway. JUST a suggestion. Thanks.

Dan i will ask Bruce as it is his game to see about him restarting it and i will also talk to the rest of the players to see if one can host it if Bruce can't at this time then he can run it when he is able.

We already have 'Search and Find' which is the next thing to 'What and Where', I would say it is a second cousin...

Gray, check your PM's...

I don't think name matters. As long as "FUN" & learning is maintained,.
If when Bruce is ready,I'm sure he'll continue.
I would simply suggest we play by the guidelines. If you can't, don't participate. Nobody is forcing anybody to play.
Not to mention, we have barely gotten started here at MPC. One is NOT to expect perfection right off.:thumbs::hi:

I have and i am sorry to say that i disagree What and Where is not Search and Find in that Search and Find is not suppose to be a GE game it is for search engines only.
Where as What and Where is all GE and nothing else.
And What and Where is Bruce's baby to post as he see's fit or when he can.
And also why it up till now has not been included in the Sticky.
