Here is the image that I will be working on. You are welcome to right click and save it to your computer to use or use an image of your own.

Go to your Ulead Gif Animator and the start up wizard box will come up. Click on the folder to "open an existing image file". Find your image, click on it and then click "open". If you want to resize it, go up to "edit", "resize image", set your size and then click "ok".

Go up to "frame" and then click on "add banner text". On the little tabs, pick your choice. For mine, I have it set for text tab/ravie, effect tab/drop on both enter and exit scenes, frame control tab - delay time/10, key frame delay/100, neon tab/direction - inside, check mark in "glow", width 8 and I picked brown for the color. To pick your color, click the little color box, then click a color choice, then click again to pick the shade. Click "ok".

Now we're ready to put in the text! Click on the little text tab and click the color box to choose which color picker and then choose your color. Type your text and use the side scroll bar to move down your image to see where you want to place your text. The text will be showing on the image so, move your mouse cursor to the text on your image and when you see the cursor turn black, left click and drag your text where you want it. Click on "start preview" to view and then "stop preview". Click "ok" and "create as banner text".

Go up to "file", "save as", gif file, name your new image and click "save". If you want to make more of the same image with a different name, go up to "edit", "undo add banner text", then go to "frame" and "add banner text", backspace out the old text and then type in your new text and you're ready to go again! :hi:

Here's my finished image -
