Have you ever had a bling that is on a black background and when you try to make it transparent, it doesn't work? Well, I finally figured out a way to fix those! This will be using Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop.

Open it up in AS and choose "select all" and then change the color to transparent. When you click to "replace the color", be sure you change the tolerance level to something like 60 or even a smaller number instead of the 100 - that way you won't lose your sparkle! Each image is different, so you'll have to play around with the settings to see which number works best to keep your sparkle. It won't appear that the color has changed, but when you click on each frame and choose "copy" and then go to PSP and "paste" - it will be transparent. Do this for each frame in your animation. Then copy each frame from PSP and then "paste" back into AS and they will then be transparent in AS. I line them up to keep them in order. Next, open up a new transparent image, maybe something like 500 x 500 to make sure to have enough working room - then duplicate the transparent image to have enough frames as you're going to build the animation from scratch. For instance if there are 10 frames in your animation, then duplicate the transparent background to have 10 frames. Make sure your "onionskin" preview is checked as you're going to drag and drop each image. Then scroll back to frame one and drag image one into that frame, then advance to frame 2 - drag image 2 into that frame being careful to put it onto the onion preview. Continue advancing to the next frame until you are finished, then preview your animation to see if you like it. If it looks good, crop your image and click to save.

Now you have a nice transparent bling, ready to add to another image! :jig:
