Hi folks,
I'm not getting email notifications of replies to topics I've posted in, was this morning, haven't changed anything, so I don't know what it might be. Thanks.
Elwood,
I find the email notifications are quite strange here, I know that I only receive about two thirds of the ones I should do.
I have my OE set to check for new mail every 2 minutes, but as I am almost constantly logged in here, I can see new posts as they are being made, but don't get notified about them, quite often.

Hi Amie,
Well, at least its' not just me.
This is odd, I got an email notification of a reply in Tablemaster's birthday thread, but not of your reply here....
I was getting at least one notification of replies in each thread before, so I don't know what is wrong. Oh well, I'll just have to make sure I check often until the problem is resolved.
I wonder about folks needing help though and whether they are getting their notifications....
I received notification of your last reply, but strangely I had received nothing to tell me about your original post.
I too worry if members are not being notified of replies to their questions, as sometimes they post on more than one site, and don't bother to come back if they think no-one has replied.

I got a notification this time, how odd.
I hear you about the concern for members needing help, hopefully we can figure out what is going wrong soon.

I have not received a single notification so far. I asked this same question in my reply to Le Roi in the Chat Forum. I will check my mail now to see if it is working.

Hi Paul,
I got a notification for this topic, this time. Maybe Mike can figure it out when he gets back. He is taking a well deserved rest. He and several other folks, Amie and Ranger Bob for sure, worked extremely long hours getting the forum up and running.

ok mike sent me a pm about avatar on the 21'st and I found it by mistake...no pop up(yes it is enabled) no email :(
Janet.
Right at the top of every page, next to My Controls, there is a new messages entry, did that not show a 1 against it either. We do know that there are some problems with people not receiving a popup when they have a new PM in certain browsers, and if they are using some popup stoppers.

 Well, two more posts to this topic and no email notifications. Is this going to be corrected? Thanks.

I got notification fine. I think this is a better way to get people back to the site. I will admit I got lazy last time being able to read the reply instead of coming back to the site. Of course, it made it easier for me to send some of the jokes on to friends. You people are hilarious.

Well, good news and bad news: I know what the problem is--and there's nothing I can do about it.
The forum is configured to not send notifications if you are currently active on the forums, also, if the server gets bogged down, it will simply not send 1/3 of the emails.
I know, this is even more insanely retarded then Firebird's default tab settings, however, there is nothing I can do about it. I have submitted a request for the writer of the forum to not have it configured this way as it makes no sense to me to have a feature like this and then only have it function 2/3rds of the time. Hopefully in the next release this will be fixed.
Sorry all,
Mike :)

>>this is even more insanely retarded then Firebird's default tab settings<<
Like about a million times, but no apologies necessary, if there's nothing you can do.....

I wondered about that. I go to another board that uses the same base and I don't get all the notifications there either. That makes sense now. Well, it doesn't make sense, but it explains it anyway.
