sending email
Hi All
I have a question,If I do up 6 or what ever emails then go on line to send them. And for some reason I cut it short to answer the phone (one Line} or I forget I am still sending mail. When I go off line a window comes up and says could not finish sending email in order to resend when I am back on line go to "sent items"now my problem is maybe 5 of the 6 went out or maybe just 2 when I had win 98 and it got shut off they would go in to Outbox and when I logged on again they went out.Is there some place to change this I can't find it.I have winXP home.outlook express .6
I brought this over from WS hoping some one will see and be able to help Thanks

You could save the emails as Drafts and then logon and send them one at a time. They will still go to the Outbox as you send them but if you wait until each one completes then you would not have to worry about this happening.

I have read that having Norton check your outgoing mail can cause problems like this.

If you use Norton anti-virus open the program and go to the Internet Section > Email and untick > "Scan Outgoing E-Mail".

If this does not solve the problem, perhaps a repair of Outlook Express might be in order,as unsent mail should not be going into the Sent items folder.

I got it fixed I had posted in WS and had said I thought it might be Norton causing the problem.Phil came back with the same answer as you did which I tried and it did fix it.Thanks a lot
