Since having XP and over time downloaded all the updates, which represent them selves in ADD/REMOVE, and guessing about 50MB worth.....is there away to somehow copy these,say to a CD incase of a crash....to install again.
I can`t find them anywhere with a search on the C drive or in the registry?..any ideas welcome.

You can visit this page:
Critical Updates (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/default.asp)
Or this one;
TechNet IT Download Resources (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url:(technet/downloads/itdownloads/default.asp)
Select which updates you require, and Save the install files for them to your computer for future use, which obviously means you can then transfer them to a CD.
When you install an update directly through Window's update page, it does not actually put the necessary install file on your computer, so you have nothing on your computer to put on a CD at the moment.
Hope this makes sense.

Thanks Amie.....makes perfect sense..in the past when ever I am advised to get critical updates I normally just download and they self install..in the future i will save them and install my self that way I can make a folder to keep them all, which I can then backup to a CD if needed at a later date..thanks for your help
