1. Click Start,RUN.

3Click Advanced. Select VGA 640x480x16 check box
4.Click OK
5.When prompted, restart, click OSince then all my web pages have little blue spots or dots: . . . Some form tiny squares. I see them now as I type.

"If your computer starts or shuts down correctly now, your display adapter may not be configured correctly or it may be damaged. To make sure that your display adapter is configured & installed correctly, consult its documentation. (What's this?????) I have looked at purchase documents and Resources Summary Report . Do not understand

Graphics Controller is Intel® 82810-DC100

I would appreciate any assistance.

What size is your monitor, that seems a very small resolution to be running it at. I think you should go back and untick that option, then right click on a blank area of your desktop, select Properties, go to the Settings tab and move the little slider at the bottom in the Screen Area section, up to 800 x 600 for a 15" monitor or 1024 x 768 if you have a 17" one.Click Apply and let windows resize your desktop.

The right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and select Properties, go to the Device Manager tab, click on the entry for your Graphics Controller, then click the properties button. On the Drivers tab you will see the date of your driver, let me know what it says.

Granny,

Where did you get this information from, if that is your correct graphics controller, it would seem that you need to reinstall the drivers for it.

Go here to check which Intel chipset you do have:

Determining What Chipset a System Contains (http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/Chipset_help.htm)

and if it is correct, go here to download the drivers;

Intel® 82810 Graphics Controller (http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intel810/)

There is a FAQ on that page if you have any questions, but if you need more help then please post back.
