Hiya Linda, I've been working on cropping with ImageMagick and this last pic I've cropped turned out crazy (example below). Can you tell me what I did wrong please. Also, is there another place I can go to Transparify besides GifWorks? Most of my pics are too big to take there. AND, is there anywhere else I can go to get a pic resized besides My Imager, ImageMagic, or Magik Studio. Some days they just aren't available or are really slow to work with.

Hi Nanci and Juts! :hi: Sorry, I'm so late in answering - but, I've been out of town for a few days!

Nanci, actually you did really well on your cropping - except that image has 18 frames and only the first one was cropped. You might want to stop the animation and then you would only have one frame - then you could crop it. Let me know if you need any help with it.

As for resizing, have you tried with Irfanview? Let me know if you don't have it and I'll give you the download site for it.

Juts, actually these are the "good 'ol tuts" with new ones added. It's hard to find the tuts that you might be looking for because of the new set up. I liked the way they were displayed before and I am also lost when trying to find certain tuts that are posted. Maybe in time we'll get used to it . . . :hammer:

Hey Linda :hi: Sure glad you're back and I hope you had a good time where ever you were. Seems like you were gone for a couple of years

I don't have a clue about layers because I don't work with PSP so I won't even try to figure that process out.

Now, for resizing at InfranView.....I have it and use it lots but I can't find a button for resizing :hammer: I just looked again now and I still don't see a resizing button on any of the menus. Hmmm...remember I'm going thru the "Hot Flash" period of life. At least that's my excuse these days for any stupidity on my part.

Thanks for the post :)

Hi Tydyup,
Here is the place in Irfanview where you resize pics.
Sorry I do not know anything (to speak of) about layers...

Nanci, I wish I were having a good time when I go out of town - but, I'm still making a trek back to work and also still moving stuff from the other house. Whew! I'll be so glad when I can cut all ties and just stay here at the new place!

Elly is steering you in the right direction with the resizing. But make sure that you open your picture first as some of the options will be greyed out until you do. Then go up to "image" and choose "resize/resample". One thing though - it won't let you work with the image animated. If you have an animated image, the "resize/resample" will be greyed out. But, if you stop the animation, then check - you will see that you have the "resize/resample" option . . . but then you lose the animation of the image. :hammer:

About the layers - you can't actually see them in an image. But if you have any kind of animation in the image - it has layers. Some have more, some have less - but if you are trying to work on the image - you have to work on all the layers to get a smooth effect.
