Hi, GrannyD. To add an attachment, just look down on the reply form for a box and button marked "browse". Click the button, go to your files on your hard drive, pick what you want to show us, and click so that the description shows in the box.
For a signature, that is static, you need to have something saved to a hosting site. First, do you have a hosting site?
(This attachment is only for illustration purposes.)
OK , lets see what we can teach you  If your signature is a picture , you need to upload that to some webspace (do you have some free webspace from your ISP ? ) and then put the URL in your personal profile-signature .
If you want to post a picture on this forum, after you are finished typing your post , click on the browse button(at the bottom of the post window , right above Add Reply ) and browse to a folder where your picture is . click on the picture (once)-open and OK . Lets see what you can post ;) :thRt:
I hope I didn't confuse you too much . There are a lot of people that are much better at this picture stuff than I'm

Well now, hello and welcome to the forum! B)
If you want, you can upload an image or email an image to Amie and she can put it in our images server, thus you do not need webspace. :thRt: Just remember, this is for use on THIS forum only.
Just send her a pm and I'm sure she'd be happy to set it up for you and teach you how to use the image tags. :)
Mike :)
Sure thing Mike,
You know me, always happy to help :amie:

arolj100 and Jane.
I am sorry. I don't know what you mean. I have a start page. Is that a hosting page. If so, how do I upload? I understand the URL thing, but can't seem to find way to get my picture to the start page. I am so sorry to br sooo dumb. I really do appreciate your patience.

Did I just send my picture as attached file? If so, great. This is what I want to usein this forum. Sorry about spelling. Keyboard skills are rusty.
Nice apple GrannyD :jig: and yes you attached it to your post . you are not dumb and you will learn new things . You will be surprised how much you will learn . Start page (it is just the first page you see when you open your browser , also called home page )is not a hosting page . But if your ISP provides some free space (mine does ) you can upload pictures (or anything else) to that and then just attach the URL for others to see . I'm not too good at this , maybe others can explain better . :)

IeSpell is my best friend. :) It is great for checking your spelling in a reply before you submit it. Of course in my case it is not just typo's, I don't spell very well. :)

Which image is it you would like to use in your posts, and is that for your signature or for your Avatar, like my cat's eyes on the left.
Have you seen this post I made this morning:
Signatures and Avatars, Need help with yours ? (http://www.mypcclinic.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=831)
If you let me know, I can upload it to our hosting site here, and give you the code you need to display it.

Hi,
Again, I am jumping in here although I was not the original poster.
Amie,
I checked your post and attempted to change my signature.
It looks like the sparklies have gone away, but let's see...
Granny
Have you uploaded the image you want to use for your signature to a site like Villagephotos. The code you are trying to use;
[*img]http://mysite.com/yourimage.gif[*/img]
Is just the example shown in my post, you have to use the unique code supplied by your hosting site.
If you have not signed up for a hosting site, then just post your image as an attachment here to me and I will upload it to our hosting site here, and put the code in for you.
Amie :amie:
P.S this is the code for my Signature to give you the idea:
[*img]http://pluto.imagemagician.com/images/lesamie/ReflectionAmie.gif[*/img]
I have to put the stars ** in so it will show my code and not the image itself, they must be taken out when putting the code in the signature box in your profile
