Hi Linda--a question for you. Why do the edges of my name always turn black when I made it and saved in Animation Shop? I've tried making name in white and flood filling, but then it gets even more weird. Thanks--

Susan, are you making your name on a transparent background and then adding it to your image or are you just writing on your image? Also, if you would - could you put in the original image and let me check something.
I have seen this happen before in PSP and when it happened I checked and my color setting somehow had changed. When I went up to "colors" and then reset to 16 million - then it was okay.
Also, let me know how you save your image. It may be that we need to change some settings in your optimization options.

Linda--Yes, I was making my name in AS on trans. background and then dragging it to my image. If I saved sig first, it turned white with gray specks in it. The color for my name was taken directly from the image--the purple. I prefer making my name in AS as I have added many new fonts. Screenshot and original image attached. I made the original image trans. and smaller. Thanks-

Susan, you can try Cheyenne's settings and see if that will fix it. If not, you might also want to play around with the tab for "partial transparency". Try a larger setting. Maybe around 35 or 40 and choose "blend with color" - "white". It will still save as transparent.
Let me know if you're having a problem finding the settings. :hi:

Yes, Linda--it worked! the "blend with color, white." Cheyenne's settings didn't work for some reason. Maybe because name was coming up as three colors. Thank you for your help, never would have figured this one out myself!
