I am new here. I just recently started using PSP9 and Animationshop3. Am taking "online lessons" (LOL) from a member of another message board where I spend alot of time  . I am looking for "different" type things to use for quills, to make animated names in Animationshop3. I can find plenty of feathers, but I am looking for much different things, like swords in particular. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Linda is our resident graphics expert, but we also have a lot of other talented members, who I am sure will be able to come up with something for you. :)
In the meantime perhaps you might like to have a look in our Web Links Archive, which has nearly 30 clickable image and avatar links listed, in two catagories.

Not graphics, but some links you might be interested in.

This page has links to hundreds of PSP Sig tutorials, plus dozens of other things to do with PSP.

I only checked out one to make an animated bear tag, but it looks good.

Make sure to check the rest of that site for her other tutorials.

If you have one in particular that you like, post it and I'll fix it so that you can use it to write.

Here's one that I worked on for you -

Thank you all so much....I am checking out the links.
See this "other forum" we all got a link to a free PSP9 and a free animationshop3, of course we all grabbed it. Then none of us knew what to do with it. One of the members has been so nice to do step by step tutorials for us including screen shots which makes it so much easier for someone as computer numb as me. lol
Anyway, I have been making animated names, glitters, globes and such. And I love doing it, I am having loads of fun. But when it comes to finding things to use for quills all I seem to find are feathers and pens. I know a couple other ppl are looking for different things too. So I cant say exactly what we are looking for. Thank you for the sword, the lady I am making this for will love that one!
Are there specific sites where you can find those kind of things? I have found places for tubes and such, but still with quills you end up with pens and feathers! That is how I feel lately when I am looking for these things! lol

I do have to tell you, our board is not like this one, it is a joke or funny picture forum but powered by the same Vbulletin, and we are jealous of your smileys! We have very bland ones!
I do appreciate the links and the sword, thanks soo much. I will be letting my friends know about this site. Not just the graphics section but the whole thing, I found some interesting tips for my pc too.

Glad we could help!

As for hunting graphics to use in place of quills, etc. - or just looking for other graphics - I put it in google and see what I can find.

For instance, on the sword - you could put in "sword animations", "sword graphics", "sword images", etc. Each change should bring up more swords. And you can do the same with other images as well.

When I found a sword that I liked, I saved it to my computer. Now, the fun begins!! I took it to Animation Shop and flipped the image and then tilted it just a tad. Next went to resize and then it was ready to use as a "pen". :jig:

Almost forgot! The sword I picked was actually animated, so when I opened it in Animation Shop - I looked at each frame and then picked the "one" sword image that I liked and pulled it over onto a new transparent background.

Thanks so much! I am still very green, but am liking it soo much, I think my friends will get sick of getting my art work in their in boxes!LOL But I still truly owe it to the fella who is doing the tutorials, with out him, I would still be looking at psp9 with a very lost look on my face!

When you're ready for more, check out the PSP Users Group Forums site, where you can sign up for a "Buddy," get answers (the PSP9 people are very active and encouraging), etc. It's here: PSP Users Forums (http://www.pspug.org/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl)

And then there's the most monstrous list of tutorials, how-tos, and all kinds of PSP stuff, all identified by which versions of PSP they work best with. Here: PSP Monster List (http://www.psplinks.com/index.html)

Have fun!

Thanks, I saved both links to my favs....The person who is doing the tuts for us now is simply doing it out of the kindness of his heart, and is there to answer any questions we have, cause for the most part the ones who are doing it are green as grass!!!!
