Morning everyone
Last evening I was on another message board, based out of the UK-which I am sure is of no consequence, but will toss it in anyway. :rolleyes:

I was replying to a p.m. When I used my IEspell check, it first would not open. after a couple of tries it finally did its thing. I then went to send it, and a window popped up saying that an error had occured and IE would shutdown. couple hours later same msg. brd. same typing of p.m. reply..again clicked on IEspell check. This time it activated correctly. Again immediately thereafter b/4 I even tried to click on send. Same msg. from IE.
Checked out the message and it refers to the following when checking in event viewer.
MSHTML.dll...fault bucket 59251704...faultrep.dll.....fault address 0x0004932...at address 635C9382 (mshtml)...etc.
Did some research on this and figure (maybe) its IEspell check doing this. IF indeed it is IEspell check causing this and I uninstall it, will this correct the MSHTML.dll? or Will I have to run sfc. FYI I also do not have a full XP disk, only a restore disk. So any solutions to this will have to have that in mind.
Sorry if there are any spelling errors, I WILL NOT use spell check just in case I lose all that I have just typed here :bang:

Thanks all.

I would suggest uninstalling ieSpell and downloading a fresh copy from the below link and reinstalling it. I have been using ieSpell for a long time now with no problem so you may have a corrupted copy.

There was a known bug with ieSpell on certain websites, but the latest version has supposedly fixed this;

ieSpell v2.0.1 (build 325) released! 08/10/2003
This is a bug-fix release. It fixes a critical bug that causes the browser to crash when ieSpell is used at certain sites. This problem is considered remote as only 4 sites have been reported so far. However, you are advised to upgrade to this version to avoid such issues in the future.

Now that you mention it I remember seeing that notice when I updated my version. It could be that this is one of the problem sites.

Thank you. I had just downloaded this last week..my harddrive had died and I was downloading new everything to the new drive. I would think I had the latest version. Will keep an eye for the version when I download the new one.
I figured that was what it was that was crashing me...thanks for the second opinion.

Thanks again. :thRt:

chameleon, I had the same problem. This might save you some time with iespell. I went through all the mirror's and so far the only one that seems to be free of the problem is the last one, acrosslimits.co.uk. Hope it works for you.
