Update Error

This is what I'm getting today from Adaware SE Personal. Is anyone else having this, or is this a pursuasion to get a newer version?

Does the message say anything else besides "update error"?

Hi, Amie-

Sure doesn't. I'll click for updates, and it says it's getting them, then times out, and puts in "Update Error". That's about all that happens. I don't know if the site is down or what it is.

It will usually say "no newer updates" if there are none, but it's not doing that.

Being more precise, it's saying "Error retrieving update". While I'm waiting it will do as it usually does and say "Retrieving update", then it times out and gives me the above.
The button at the lower rt. will say "Finish" just like everything has gone normally, and that's it.

Well I checked out their support forum and no-one else has reported any problems.

Hi, Amie-

Well, it finally got it, slowly, but got it.

Found another problem too-- My CPU Usage was pegged out at 100%! Called my tech and we found that Realplayer was taxing it. I uninstalled it, and some of the weird slow stuff has stopped. It's acting like it's old self again!

I may need to get the '07 version of Adaware. I'll check it out.
