I have
Ad-Aware S E Personal
AVG Anti-Rootkit Free
AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5
AVG Free Edition
BOClean
Spybot S&D 1.5
SpywareBlaster
& Windows Defender.
On my win xp home, homemade.Fully updated
Would ANY of those conflict with SUPERAntiSpyware FREE Edition ??
I'm asking because "just recently" SAS was causing my pc to reboot so I removed SAS.
I read in a different forum its always best to download programs at their website. I originally downloaded mine from www.komando.com (http://www.komando.com) But recently I've gone to http://filihippo.com .
Thanks In Advance:hi::thumbs:

You have less chance of getting a 'loaded' version if you get it from the website. You have those people that think it is cute or fun or whatever that will take a program, infect it and then post it back up for downloading. Words cannot express my feelings on that subject. With that said, there are some sites that scan their programs before they are uploaded for downloading. From what I have heard and read filehippo and komando are very good sites that can be trusted. Another reason to get it from the homesite is you are sure of getting the latest version. I almost forgot to add that.
As for conflicts in those programs I can't help. I have never run Spyware Blaster or SuperAntispyware or BOclean. But your list reminds me of why I switched to Linux. I don't need any of those. Just had to throw a little humor in. I still have two machines running windows so I do still use some of those :).

jbs3645,
I'm sure you won't be offended, but its my opinion that one of these days the pc bad guys will get tired of messing with windows & go after Mac,Linux & the other types of pc's. I'll hope the others might be able to answer any "conflict" question(s). TIA.:hi:

Another good download site is MajorGeeks (http://www.majorgeeks.com/) . They have the latest version and keep pretty up to date on updates. Have used them for years and never a problem.

surferdude,
Not offended at all. It may happen but because of the way Linux is designed and put together it makes it very difficult. Therefore, the effort required is not worth the result.
Don't despair, someone will pop up about the conflicts.

I think it is going to be almost impossible to get an answer to your question as to if any of the programs you have installed could be conflicting with SUPERAntiSpyware, as most people do not use the same combination that you do, and it could be one or more causing problems, or on the other hand it could just be SUPERAntiSpyware itself which is bad, and nothing to do with any other program. You have plenty of good programs installed which work fine, so why not just forget all about SUPERAntiSpyware, as it has been bothering you for some time now. :)
