Here's the other one (as you can tell, I'm not very good at this one):

Thanks Elwood

I am going to have a go at the Blockfall game, give me something to do in the middle of the night when it is quiet here :)

Hi Amie, :amie:

You are most welcome. :)

I found another, but this is only for Firebird, not Moz:

Hi folks,

Alright I've discovered something, I guess you would call it a quirk?

If you install blockfall to a profile it will overwrite the tools menu entry for minesweeper (which is installed globally, it will show in all profiles), so what you want to do, I think, is to install minesweeper first and create a different profile for blockfall to be installed in, be sure and install it to the profile folder and not globally (choices at the end of the tiny download).

There are ways of getting to minesweeper or blockfall without the shortcut in the tools menu, but I have forgotten how to do such as of the moment. I'll find out how to do it though.

I will be posting about this in the Firebird Bugs forum at Mozillazine.

Elwood

Thanks for the PM.

What a strange thing to happen, thankfully it won't bother me, as I have only got Blockfall and was not going to bother with minesweeper.

I will keep an eye out for any replies to your post in the Moz forum.

Hi Amie,

I wound up posting it in the extensions forum, not really sure if it is a Firebird bug or a bug in the extensions, so look for it there.

You're welcome for the pm and again I apologize for not discovering this sooner.

This works if you have overwritten the minesweeper shortcut in the tools menu with blockfall's shortcut:

chrome://minesweeper/content/minesweeper.xul

Just paste it into the location bar and hit enter (you will have to resize the window a little), bookmark this after you hit enter if you so desire.

This should work if you have the opposite situation and have installed blockfall globally:

chrome://blockfall/content/blockfall.xul

In my opinion, it would be best to install blockfall to a separate profile instead of globally, as I suggested in my post above.

The real interesting thing here is you are using png files! :) Any particular reason, as I rarely see these outside of the Linux community.

Good find on the games BTW. B)

Hi Mike,

I'm one of those rebellious Windoze users, that's why the png files, LOL. :neener:

I like the quality too. Much better than jpgs, don'tcha think?

I would be a Linux user in a heartbeat if I could, but circumstances just don't permit right now.

The games are fun, but this quirk has me a bit disconcerted right now.

I have all three games installed and working fine, but I have a separate profile for cards and blockfall (installed to the profile folder) and minesweeper is in the tools menu of my other profiles, so the bug can be worked around.

Good for you, I was just a bit surprised as I did not even know of the format until I got interested in Linux.

Oh much better, the only problem of course is the file size. I almost always save in .png and then depending on what I want to do with it usually save it again as a .jpg. I have had desktops screenshots go upwards of 5mb as a png file! =0
