When we first named this kitten he was frightened of everything. He is now the calmest of his litter mates. It is easy to pick him up for cuddles. The others need to be bribed with pieces of hot dog.

His mama had 3 litters (with us) she is now living in a huge enlosure where she and her babies are safe and this will, Lord wiling, be the last litter she will have. We still can not hold her but after 2 1/2 years she is allowing an occasional touch as she passes by. She is Siamese and her eyes used to glow red if we got near her and she had a mean look on her face. Now her look is almost sweet and her eyes don't shoot daggers. I look forward to a day in the future when she will sit in my lap for petting. Her 'house' is huge and she is very happy in there. Perhaps, it is the safest she has felt in years?

Of the 3 kittens she finally had one that looked like her, Biscuit. Maybe she will be the subject of another entry in the Photo of the Month.

The other photos this month were amazing and very beautiful. I am touched to have this little kitten touch enough of you to vote for him.

We decided against giving the kittens away. We know they will have a good home here & after these are gone, there will be no more. Oh, my goodness, I just realized how long they can live and how old we are . . . I may be 79 and still have them with me. I may have to rethink this a bit. Anybody want a kitten?

Wish all the entries could have won, I'd share the title.
