Can someone help me with CD writer problems? I have a HP CD Writer Plus 9300 series and every time I try to burn a CD, I get a message that says it is not a CD R. Can anyone help me with this?
Also, I keep getting an error message on IE:
Internet Explorer Script Error
An error occurred in the script on this page.
It seems most of the time the URL is clickspring.net/advert
Any ideas?
I'd appreciate any help or ideas.

Hi JimmyT
Welcome to MPC
What burning program are you using?

Try this, in Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and make sure that Disable script debugging is ticked and Display a notification about every script error is not ticked as per my attachment.
About your CD Writer, have you tried a different brand of disks, does your writer recognise a CD-RW if you put one of those in, and does it play pre-recorded CDs.

Thanks. My settings in IE are as you suggested.
I use Roxio CD Creator 5 and also Media Player.

Have you installed all the updates for EZCD Creator?
The latest one can be found here (http://www.roxio.com/en/support/ecdc/software_updatesv5.jhtml)

Jimmy have you checked the Roxio site to see if your problem is documented and they have a fix? You might also check to make sure you have all the latests fixes applied for the software.
I have seen problems with Easy Creator and Windows Media Player before and it was usually caused by uninstalling or upgrading Windows Media Player. Easy Creator and Windows Media Play use to share a codex and when you did the upgrade it screwed up Easy Creator. The problem I have seen was not the same as yours though. The ones I have seen is that the CD burner would not show up in Windows at all and could not be used at all so this might not have anything to do with it at all.
