For some reason I cannot access certain websites, it comes back page cannot be displayed or action cancelled. An example would be www.lexmark.com, I have tried for days to connect with lexmark and it is not happening. I have even tried to connect using IE, that didn't work either
Thanks for your help.

Hi Kim,
I got right in using this url on Firebird:
http://www.lexmark.com/
You might check your hosts file to see if somehow this url got in there somehow; also check your restricted sites zone to see if this url is there and if so delete it and save the changes (hosts file).
I have just loaded lexmark's site fine in Firebird using Elwood's link, as he said do a search on your computer for the file hosts (it is just that no extension) open it in Notepad and see if lexmark is listed, if it is just delete that entry.

It works in IE. I would agree with my distinguished colleagues.

Ok, I did what you said, looked for hosts....nothing with Lexmark on it, and it isnt just Lexmark's website that I have problems with, I tried for a week a month or so ago to get to Adobe's website and I had the same problems with that.
Thanks everyone,
Kim

Is it possible that you have your Firewall Set to Tight?
