Thank you all who voted for my photo. It was taken in Victoria British Columbia, I had just walked up the steps and turned around and I was struck by the beauty of a lovely summer day in Victoria, so I just pointed my camera and took the pic.

It is so easy to become complacent to the beauty that surrounds the place you live in.

It is the first time I have ever entered a photo in a competition so again, I thank you all. :)

Thank you all for your lovely comments, I think a lot of it has to do with beginners luck and being at the right place at the right time. :D

I have to tell you, at the time this was taken the friend who was with us is an ex police photographer and fingerprint guy, when he saw it he also said what a great shot it was, and quote ( " much better than mine, but then, I only take pictures of dead people, they can't spoil it by moving") :eek:

I must say I feel a little proud of myself too, considering I am certainly in the shadow of my friends here and their wonderful pictures. :amie:
