Please, tell us where this was taken. Was it a warm day or a cold one?

Cheers,

That photo struck a chord with me. I have long been an admirer of telephone and power poles (only the wooden ones). This one has the metal climbing things that I remember from my youth. They are missing now because most of our telephone lines are underground. My Grandfather was a lineman.

Where was this taken? I loved the birds, too.

Possum wanted me to say "congratulations" to whomever ran away with his trophy this month! He really was upset and I think has developed IBS over the situation. :cjlol:

The intensity of the surf is wonderful! Gives me goosebumps!!

This was taken outside my house in Lincolnshire UK and the birds are starlings, used a zoom lens for the shot.

Thank you everyone ;-) This photo was taken at Robert Moses State Park here on Long Island NY USA. It was a pretty brisk day.. i'd say around at least with the wind chill felt around 55, not what you would call a beach day but we had, had some serious storms here on the atlantic and we wanted to check out the beach erosion. I usually have my camera handy and took several shots while there. I fell in love with this one, so glad many of you loved it as well. BTW Linda hope Possum is feeling much better ;-) Once again thank you all ;-)

Just a quick note to say that I have had some entries in for November, but at the moment the PC I set the competition up on is covered in dust sheets surrounded by builder's tools and rubbish

As soon as the builders have finished I will publish the entries I have received :)
