I did not realize 9.12 was going to be released this quick. I can not get into the My IE2 Forum so I can give you a list of all the changes. One change you may all want to check out is the new Use Gecko Engine. It can be found under the New Window Icon. When you exit My IE2 you will need to re-enable the feature the next time you want to use it. To use this feature you must have Mozilla installed.

Hey thats great, RB, since your the resident guru on MyIE, couple of quick ?s I've heard that Mozilla renders webpages better than IE, T-F . Can you use Firebird or do you have to use the fullblown Mozilla. Does this mean I can finally dump IE :hammer: ?

According to the information I was given during testing the full Mozilla engine had to be installed.

I really like MyIE2, but I'm still quite confused as to how to get their extras and plug-ins to operate. For instance, I've noticed, in the tools drop down, there is a "AUTO FILL FORMS" item. So far, I have not been able to figure out how that works. I used to have ROBO-FORM, but did not enable it when I D/L this 0.9.12 version. Also, have not figured out what that "SIMPLE COLLECTOR" does???
I guess I'm just going to have to take one evening and go through all the HELP list. But, I wouldn't trade back to IE. :neener:

Bill here is an older My IE2 User Guide that you might find usefully. It is a zipped folder so all you have to do is download and unzip it to the location that you desire. Go into the resulting folder and execute index.htm.

You really should try 9.12. It fixes many problems in the previous versions.
I have it (0.9.12 ) on my desktop comp. with WinME . It never showed both Links & Favorites bars properly . So I put the new version on that computer . But on my laptop I have the old 0.8.220 because that's the last one that allowed both bars to show (at least in WinXP ) and I like that . Lots of people do , as you can tell by the posts at the forum (MyIE2 ) . There are few plugins that I would like to have and they won't work with the old version , but it's oK . I don't see any drastic changes in the new one. Spoofing of address is not corrected either , at least it does not work on my new version . So that is my story and I'll stick to it ;)

Jane I don't understand why you would have problems with it. My various versions all work perfectly. If you would like I would be happy to zip up my folder and post it for you to try out. I have tested it in Windows 98, 2000 and XP without any problems on three different PC's.

Thanks RB, I just D/L it to my desktop downloads folder and I will go over it later in the evening. I went through some of the "HELP" foles on MyIE2, but it is still going to take me a while to work out all the new stuff. I spent most of last evening D/L all the MyIE2 and IE plug-ins and putting them into the plug-in folder. Now all I have to do is to figure out how to use them. I think I have found a new career. There goes my retirement

You may not want to use/install all the plugins. I don't. Take a look at what they do in the description and decide if they are something you might want before going to the trouble of downloading and installing.

Yes, RB, I only D/L the ones I thought I may use. If, at another time, I feel like checking out the others, I made a bookmark of the site. Thank you for watching out for us novices.
I would be absolutely lost without these :
Linkify
Send location
Tab home
Text Highllighter
TinyURL
Windows Update button
Force Pictures
Add to Favorites
MW Dictionary
And the Mouse gestures are great !
:thLt: :jig: love them all .
