Congratulations to the photographer of the great Niagara Falls pic. Such a lot of power captured in there and the inclusion of the flying bird I especially like. Excellent !!!

The other one is mine - a Lake not far from where I live, taken on 3rd May '09 at 5 pm.
It was on the return home from a trip to one of our hydro dams as we had heard water was being released - a spectacular sight. Although the Lake picture looks idyllic my feet were in the boggy edge of the lake and it was very very cold!. I was trying to get closer beyond the trees but perhaps it was better with them in to frame the view.
Thank you to those who voted for it, I am glad you enjoyed the view :)

I was absolutely delighted to find that I had jointly won May's competition with Eve, at my first ever attempt at entering. I received a camera for my birthday, never having had one before, and the photos I took at Niagara State park, were the first ones I had taken with it. Many thanks to all who voted. :)
