UNinstall old version first. Start>control>add/remove find avast,click remove & follow prompts. If you need their removal tool, go to their site.

I checked in their forums and did not uninstall the old version first, as the new version does that for you all in one, plus it retains your registration details. :) I like this new version has more features than the old one. :)

I tried 4 or 5 times to update over the top,but it didn't work so I removed the old & it worked fine.
I too like the new except the color change of the icon. ORANGE:eek:

Technically that was the correct way to do it as it wasn't just a version upgrade but a whole new series upgrade.
I hear it was bundled with Chrome, guess they are taking a walk on the dark side going down that road, what next,,, Toolbars. :eek:

I know not too many care about Chrome,but I like it.
If anybody can show me a "perfect" browser, fine. Otherwise................
