Add Links To AVG Update Choices

I had problems with AVG update hanging up and sometimes had to download it manually at thier main link.

Here is a tweak that will add two more links (mainly www.grisoft.com) to the drop down window.

Navigate to your AVG install directory and rename your existing url.ini file to url.iniold.

Copy the following and paste into notepad and save it as url.ini. Put this new file into your AVG install directory. You'll now have 3 options to select from with www.grisoft.com being the default.

After repeated attempts to update for the past one week I got tired and failed. I chanced to see your tweak. Well, when Url.ininew was created only two options are available sl.no. 3 & 1, 3 being the default. Somehow no.2 is not displayed.

When I tried again to dowload the update from the no.1 option it simply stood at 55% and no further progress even after one hour of waiting.

Any other solution?

I had no problem yesterday or today getting right in and getting the update.
Using the original .ini file.

As per http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,9419173~mode=flat ; if anyone is having trouble understanding the copy/paste directions, you can simply DL this file and save to ?:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG? while allowing the overwrite;

I did this cause I've gotten a couple of notes asking for more detail/explanation when there really isn't any more to it. Anyway, perhaps some will find this easier.
