When you forward an email, it is very important to get rid of any addresses that show on the email. These tips will also include how to get rid of those > characters that show up after an email has been forwarded and also show you two ways to highlight.
When you get an email and want to send it to someone else, hit the "forward" button. See all that "original message" stuff, etc? Left click at the very beginning of that and hold it down and highlight all of that stuff - addresses included. When you get all highlighted that you want to take off, let go of the mouse button and then hit your "backspace" button and poof it's all gone!
Or for another way to highlight - left click at the beginning of what you want to highlight. Now hold down the shift button and left click at the end of what you want highlighted and everything in between those two points will be covered. Then hit your "backspace" button and it all disappears. Now you're ready to send your cleaned email.
To get rid of those > characters, there are a few programs that you can use, but I use http://www.papercut.biz/emailStripper.htm You can download the program and keep it on your desktop for quick use. When you want to clean up those > you need to highlight all of the email that you want to keep. You can use either way of highlighting as explained in the above paragraph. When you finish highlighting it, then right click and choose "copy". Now click on your email stripper. When that comes up, click "paste" at the bottom. Now click on "strip it". Now click on "copy". Go back to your email program, start a new email and at the top, click your "paste" button and the new cleaned email will appear. Now click "send" and you're all set!
