My problem is everytime I type www.pogo.com in the address bar click the go button there is a message in the lower taskbar by the start icon that states redirect http://pogo.com this is the only site this message occurs when I surf the net. It also happens when I use google to search for www.pogo.com. Why does this only happen when I search for the pogo site? Any help or suggestions you experts can give me will be very much appereciated.

I have Windows 98SE, IE 6 and OE 6. Kitty

Are you not able to access the Pogo site? If not, where DOES the redirect take you. If you ARE able to access the Pogo site my guess (just a guess) is that Pogo has a number of different servers and the redirect is taking you to the nearest (or most available) one.

Thank for your prompt reply Alan. The answer to your question is yes it does take me to the Pogo site, so you guess Pogo has a number of sites is correct. I was afraid I might have been hijacked as far as the Pogo site is concerned but your correct guess I think has answered my concern so I will not worry about this any longer.

Highjacking would be when your homa-page keeps on changing or changes. At school they have routers and wireless network......and I got hijacked the other day, didnt mean to but still happen. Goes to tell you no one is safe :) :(

But this is most likely as Alan said, a server redirection :)
