This version is designed to clean up old versions so you can install this version over the older version if you like. It may ask you to reboot in order to finish uninstalling certain items(BHO etc). Personally I felt it would be better to uninstall the previous version and remove the program folder before installing the new version.

I agree with you LeRoi.1.2 has workrd well for me.I'm afraid to disrupt that.

The only problem is that 1.2 is no longer supported and has not been updated for awhile now. Version 1.2 will not handle the newer malware that is coming out which 1.3 has been designed to handle.

The GUI for 1.3 seems to have been improved in subtle ways that I find nice.

Do you run Ad-Aware too?
I was just wondering if SB1.3 would conflict with Ad-Aware.

Yes I run Adaware. I have seen some reports that Adaware will catch the home page lock in SpyBot but I had no problem on my system. If it does report this you could either ignore it or add it to the ignore list so it does not keep being reported every time you run Adaware.

I'm running both on 98se and haven't had any conflict at all, neither one has reported that the other exsists :) Haven't had to add to exclude list.
