This time you will be editing the registry, so back up before continuing!
Unload DLLs
-XP tweak_
Windows narmally doesn's unload a program's DLLs file, in order to make a possible restart of the program more speedy, thus taking up a bit os RAM, if I am not mistaking. Well, if you are like me and like to conserve the RAM (192 is not much to brag about) and keep XP running smooth.
Run Regedit by going to run and typing "regedit", afterwards browse and find key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer ". On the right hand pane, add a DWORD value (right click>'add DWORD') and name it (or copy it) AlwaysUnloadDLL. After you have created the value, double click on it and set the decimal to 1! :)
I usually do this with, games I know I will not be playing again that day. I have noticed a slight change, but I admit you will not notice a boost of speed right away.
