Restoration is an easy to use and straight forward tool to undelete files that were removed from the recycle bin or directly deleted from within Windows. Upon start, you can scan for all files that may be recovered and also limit the results by entering a search term or extension. In addition, it also provides the option to wipe the found files beyond simple recovery. The program is small and standalone, it does not require installation and can also run from a Floppy disk. Restoration works with FAT and NTFS as well as digital cameras cards.

Hello Bob, do you know if this program will recover image files from a corrupted camera card (compact flash)? Or may be a card that has been formatted. If not do you know of a freeware program that will.

PS I am answering my own question, I had a little time so I took some pics and then formatted the card. I then put the card in a reader and recovered all the images-perfect. How can I corrupt a card temporarily to see if they would recover from that?

Something that is corrupt is a little different than something that is deleted. The file might still exist but the information would either be unreadable or be wrong so you would not have anything to recover. I don't know how you could test it.
