I have just discovered by accident that if I hit the backspace or enter keys while viewing this forum it toggles through previously viewed pages. :)
Is this someting everyone already knew?
I am using Maxthon.
Does not seem to work with FF

Could it be because I have links opening in the same window?
It is very handy :)
I have only just upgraded to Maxthon RB - my old IE2 was going beserk and doing funny things. It was after I inadvisedly installed the IE Google Toolbar, and could not get rid of it no matter what I did. All seems to be working fine in Maxthon though.

Ok I see what I was doing different. I open the threads by clicking on the middle button instead of clicking on the left click button. If I use the left click button it works the way you posted. :) By using the middle button I only have to X out of the tab and I am back to the original display screen just like when you use the Backspace key.

The backspace key does it with SlimBrowser, but not the enter key.

It works the same with Opera as with Slimbrowser (D_Spider) [backspacebut not enter] Is there any secret way to get back to the thread or it the same old back button?

:jig: Here is another clever Maxthon one - place cursor on any tab and use the scroll wheel to toggle tabs. Activate it in Options/Maxthon Options/Tab/General.

Good Morning,
Eve I found this DL that might help you to get rid of google toolbar.
http://windowsxp.mvps.org it is called toolbarcop. I've used it to get rid of Yahoo toolbar ffrom IE. I use FF mainly but need IE just for Hotmail account.
:hi: :)

Yes I knew about this one. I hit on it by accident and could not figure out why I was scrolling between my tabs when all I wanted to do was scroll down the page. :) I turned it off because it was driving me crazy.

Firefox will use the Backspace key to go back (pretty standard shortcut I believe)... You can also scroll tabs with the wheel ;)

Deantn - thanks for ToolbarCop link. Fortunately do not need it as I did not instal it on Maxthon and now no longer use IE2. Will keep it though, just in case.
RB - I discovered it my accident too - actually thought I was going dotty as the page kepr changing :) I use it all the time now though.

No reason to remove the Google Toolbar from Maxthon. It works fine as long as you don't use the latest version of the Google Toolbar. If you don't wish to have Google Toolbar then you can uninstall it without any outside programs via Add/Remove.

If you have TBE installed, it's one of the options...

If you have TBE installed, it's one of the options...I have it Ryan but instead of ticking 'Switch Active Tab' I had done 'Scroll Tab Bar'
Just me being clueless.
Its working now :)
