Problems Installing Software

I'm having a lot of trouble installing software. I don't have trouble with all software - just some. I get this error message: "error extracting support files access denied". What am I doing wrong?

What operating system are you using ? (windows 95,98,ME,2000,XP) and what kind of software are you trying to install ? Is this a download or is this from a CD ?

I'm running Windows 98SE. I'm trying to install from a CD. What's strange is that some programs I can install and others I just can't.

I know what you mean,windows can be strange period.

Can you give me an example of what your trying to install that is giving you problems ? Is the software your trying to install a burnt copy or is it retail ?
