Can someone please correct(bring up to date) the links in Yahoo. Today I clicked all topic links plus my old favorites link and got "Page cannot be displayed" Had to get here via Address on my browser and create a new Favorites link. Even Google failed me. Thanks.

They seem to be working for me. Wonder if anyone else is having this problem?

If you mean the RSS links on My Yahoo, they are working fine for me. If those are not the links you mean, then please ignore this post. :)

No I did not mean RSS links. When I click on a Thread topic link I get "Page cannot be displayed" Still doing it today. Also, the topics are 1 day or more old. Nothing showing today's topics, replies, etc.

I am sorry, I must be being extra dense today, but I still don't know which links you are referring to, and how they are involved with Yahoo. Please could you spell it out for someone who is very confused at this moment. :)

First, I received 5 email updates tonight which are the first I have received in many weeks. THat is how I knew about Amies's 4/22 reply. Next for Amie, about 2 or 3 months ago Yahoo allowed us to add MPC activity links(By Category &Topic)to our Home Page. Each time a topic is added or updated this would display so I could click the Topic of interest link to go to that topic at MPC. Very convenient, but this stopped 4 days ago. It now shows no new updates in three days in all categories(PS Help), etc. I hope this clarifies the issue and I assumed all Moderators knew this. I assumed that htis had been arranged or coordinated with MPC. Mike, can you shed some light?

I too use My Yahoo and have links on my home page showing the latest posts on MPC, but they come under the heading of RSS Headlines (BETA). What is the title of the module that your links are listed under, could you post a screenshot. I wonder if the reason they are being a bit tempermental at the moment is because all our DNS propogation has not been fully finished.
Perhaps you could try re-entering them in the options for your module.

RSS Headlines are the only module I know of which will get the latest from MPC on My Yahoo!. I do not use My Yahoo! regularly so cannot validate whether it works consistently but I can test whether it is working at any given present moment. I have tested it twice now (once when I originally replied and again now) and the results were the same: the latest posts were shown.

Perhaps Amie's idea of deleting the links and re-submitting them will work.

The link for submitting all forums is:

http://add.my.yahoo.com/rss?url=http://www.mypcclinic.com/forums/external.php?type=rss&forumids=4,26,5,8,34,33,6,9,27,35

or if you only want one particular forum:

http://add.my.yahoo.com/rss?url=http://www.mypcclinic.com/forums/external.php?type=rss&forumids=4
The number 4 on the end should be replaced with the forum number you wish to add.

I use the latter and get all posts from the Windows Category and the More Help Forums Category by simply adding the forum numbers one after the other: 4,26,5,8,33,34,36

Let us know if that is any help.

I don't use RSS unless it is built into Yahoo?

I use a freeware program called GrabCaptureScreen, if you Google for it a DL site wil show up.

You can take a screenshot with the programs already on your computer, have a look at this Print Screen Tutorial by one of our members, Crockett.

Yes I know, but this little program does a great deal more. Save it, Email it, print it...etc. And it is free.

Thanks, I will go along and check it out, sounds interesting. :) I sometimes use a program called Capture Express, but don't think that is free any more.

Edit Here is a link to the program Gary recommended.

MyYahoo! has a built in RSS feature where you can select sites or enter URLs. Real Simple Syndication is the only way MPC will talk to Yahoo. There are a few good RSS readers you can also use to read RSS as well some browsers: Opera has it native and Firefox with the ext.: Sage

Gary, I have Gadwin Printscreen. How do I insert the capture into a message?

This is weird! Early Halloween? This morning RSS Feeds going back to 1/05 showed up in My Yahoo as current(17 minutes ago) feeds under this category, News and Announcements.

Here we go again. This thread is again showing up in my Yahoo RSS Feed as a current thread. Anyone know why this happening?

I just checked my Yahoo RSS and it is showing no new posts at all from MPC, when I know there have been some since I was last here. This afternoon both myself and Eve were unable to load our Yahoo email, so perhaps they have been having some problems. I have my horoscope, and other news catagories on my Yahoo page and quite often they are not updated for days, and sometimes they even show things from weeks or months ago, so I definitely think it is Yahoo and not MPC causing this.

Yahoo mail seems to be still on the blink. I can log in ok now but was unable to delete messages for a while, and also when loggining out it times out before completion.
